Western food can be found at an increasing number of locations:

IN BANDRA / NORTH BOMBAY

Pali Market, Bandra - fresh vegetables, including some not found in other open air markets, like asparagus, bell peppers, iceberg lettuce, fresh basil, and this is where to go to find your pumpkin for Halloween. Other shops in the market sell foreign food, housewares, and stationery. Good food stores in Pali market include:

• Sante, Pali Market, Bandra - run by ex-pat Milinda, this is the place to find cheese (including the delectable whiskey cheddar), smoked salmon, rack of lamb, duck, danish bacon, pepperoni, pie filling, capers, cream of tartar, sushi making materials, home baked bread, sour cream, hummus, frozen raspberries, and more. Closed Sundays.
• Choice Food, Pali Market, Bandra - sun dried tomatoes, dry or in oil, danish butter, cheddar and mozzarella, rice krispies, etc. They deliver. 
• Vijay Food, Pali Market, Bandra - best bet for canola oil at a decent price 
• Agro Meats, Pali Market, Bandra - located downstairs and in the back between two vegetable stalls under a sign that says Cold Storage, they have great chickens, pork chops, pork spre ribs, all manner of mutton, minced beef, tinned and frozen seafood and beef tenderloin (it may be very tender buffalo tenderloin, but they say it's beef.) They deliver.

Patel Provision Stores, Bandra - near Mehboob Studios, has a lot crammed into its shelves. Great selection of pasta (including whole wheat pasta), candy, marshmallow cream, golden syrup, UHT whipped cream (can stay a year on your shelf without refrigeration until you first use it), UHT feta cheese, western cereal, vegetables, cosmetics, shampoo, stationery

Hypercity, Malad W - next to In Orbit Mall -- a huge deprtment store where you can find everything from Gouda cheese to computer printers. Has a huge vegetable section, respectable meat room, largest selection of imported chocolate in Mumbai, cheese, fresh baked bread, wine, coffee beans, pasta, and specialty goods like chestnut puree. They only deliver bulky goods like furniture. The store has an Italian gelato counter, a coffee shop, an Indian cafe, a pharmacy, an optometrist, and a Crossword bookstore on site.

Hypermart, In Orbit Mall, Malad W -- within In Orbit is this huge department store, with a good selection of cheese, meat, wine, nuts, Italian food, and snacks as well as clothing and housewares.

Nature's Basket, Oshiwara, Andheri and Churchgate -- sushi goods, cheese, jams, breads, olives, but extra expensive.

Magnet Mall - just off Linking road on the same street as KFC, Bandra W, has a large grocery floor with some western foods and produce

Big Bazaar - Milan Mall, Santa Cruz has extensive grocery department with some western goods, especially good for Italian food items.

IN SOUTH BOMBAY

Nature's Basket - Bhulabhai Desai Road (Opposite Mahalakshmi Temple). As mentioned above offers lots of great imported goods but is super pricey. Also has a wine cellar but prices are very inflated. Recommended for imported fruit and veggies that are hard to find elsewhere like avocadoes.

Crawford Market, South Mumbai - between Fort and Marine Lines, this huge market has hundreds of shops that sell western packaged food like Oreos and Pringle's, as well as fresh vegetables and fruit, specialty housewares, imported baking chocolate, raw cocoa butter and plastic moulds for homemade chocolates. Bargain hard. Can be a bit overwhelming for the newcomer but it's great when you get used to it. If you are planning on buying a lot of goods there a boys who will follow you around with a basket on their head acting as your 'human shopping trolley'Be mindful of those seemingly very helpful people who follow you offering you advice on where to find the goods as they will generally expect tips for their seemingly 'friendly advice'.

Indigo Deli, Colaba - next to the Indigo restaurant, with a great selection of meats, antipasto, tea, coffee, cheese and bread.

-Good quality meat can be bought at the Taj Wellington Mews in South Mumbai. Order by phone (ask for the Delhi Welli) one day in advance. The have great lamb chops/tenderloin/minced beaf and chicken.
