Shopper’s Stop – Bandra, Linking Road & Andheri

A small “mall” that carries a range of products from makeup, perfumes, western clothes, Indian clothes, kids toys/games, books and home/kitchen supplies. Prices are not too cheap, but bargains can be found during their sales.

Mela – Ambedkar Road, Bandra W

Indo-Western Wear

Beautiful, Indian-designed western clothes and modern Indian clothes - womens. Not cheap. Dresses Rs 2,000 - 5,000 but well worth it.

Chemisty – Waterfield Road, Bandra W.

Western Wear at reasonable prices (by Western Standards)

In-orbit Mall – Malad

Mumbai’s first “real” mall, equipped with American restaurants, many of the higher end Indian retailers. Nice to wonder around in if you are missing cleanliness and airconditioning!

Infiniti Mall - Lokhanwala

Bandra’s Linking Road – Definitely a site to see, even if you don’t want to buy anything. The road is lined with shoe sellers, shops, stalls selling Indian clothes, Indo-western clothes, etc. Bargain hard!

Small shops in your own neighborhood – It is sometimes daunting to go into shops that look quite fancy, but often times they are very reasonably priced, so go ahead, step in and check them out!

Magnet Mall - just off Linking road on the same street as KFC, Bandra W, has jeans and shirts for men and women.

Milan Mall - Santa Cruz, a number of medium pricced boutiques as well as Big Bazaar store with clothes for men and women.

Indian Clothing

Fabindia - Located in Kala Ghoda, Bandra and In Orbit Mall, Malad

Westerner’s first stop in Mumbai. Best place to pick up simple, cotton kurtas and Indo-Western wear

Mangaldas market is difficult to find for a new comer, but is a huge warehouse near Crawford market filled with stall after stall of fabric sellers. Bargain hard.
